Born on 29 May 2001 and hailing from Thrissur, Kerala, Kathlyn Bennett developed an interest in psychology and English writing during her school years. Her fascination with psychology stemmed from her desire to understand herself, her surroundings and the people around her.
After completing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology along with related studies, she continued working in the mental health field while simultaneously nurturing her passion for writing.
For Bennett, writing became another way of observing and understanding the world. Her poems and scribbles explore emotions, relationships, circumstances, human behaviour, imagination and the experiences that silently shape individuals.
Her literary journey began during her undergraduate years when her first poem appeared in an anthology during her second year. She subsequently contributed poems, letters and quotes to several anthologies associated with different publishing houses.
Her journey eventually expanded into solo authorship with Hunter of Reveries, an anthology of English poetry and scribbles, which she wrote in 2022 and published in 2024.
Her latest literary chapter includes two new poetry collections, The Warmth and Smears and The Silent Slays of Vaga-lumes, further reflecting her evolving perspective on life, relationships, resilience and love.
